This track was conceived one day in high school when someone called me a gumby for one reason or another. The track idea just stuck.

I felt like Octavia playing in a band
I held my instrument of choice tight in my hand
I put it up to my mouth and blew delicately
In my mind the only one's there were my recorder and me
And we played music magically,
Like Twilight Sparkle in the Elements of Harmony
I marvelously played the anthem of my bronies
Until someone came along and snapped me out of my dream

Somepony, not a brony came and told me
That I was a phony, to shut up ASAP
He said I couldn't play recorder apparently
But I didn't take it to heart, I didn't take it seriously
I played louder, I saw around me people's ears bleed
But he stood up proud and looked right at me
He placed his feet firm on the ground, buried like roots to a tree
And he said to my face "You're a fucking gumby!"

Woodwind Whistle has a musical gristle missile
Readied, aimed and fired, his pride shrivelled
Unofficial, love and tolerance cannon, it spat on him
Round after round never gave up on him
Bombarded him, he started it now I'm gonna finish it
Recorder Brony's a gumby not to be reckoned with
The debris cleared, his body was seared but he was alive
And the first words to come out of his mouth were "I'm a brony until I die"
